in the coordinates or measurement

in measuring the coordinates in the game or transport (in terms of actual days)

What do you mean by distance?
The map is infinite, unless you specifically define a size in the generation screen...

There's practical limits on the game map. But can be considered infinite for the human experience. Because no way are you ever getting there while playing the game normally.

I've had a train at approximately 4800 chunks out. It was a large train, I was using RSO and let's just say there's a lot of oil out there. And ghost trains...but they don't seem to be there any more :-(

Ghost trains sounds like a hilarious glitch to have considering that in reality there are myths of real ghost trains going across an open field where the track no longer exist.

I love the idea of "ghost trains". Sort of like "Herobrine" in Minecraft.

So every patch for Factorio should include "removed Ghost Trains"

As said in the Steam discussion, the visual system glitches out after 8192 (2^13) chunks in any direction. I assume this is a known bug with the devs :)?

Known and fixed in 0.13 about 2 months ago :P
