hey could someone plz shed some light ( no pun intended) on the problem i have that ive got a vast arrary of accumilators and solar panels, I had everything nice and sparking but now all i have is the red lightning warning symbols and ive read and watched all sorts of tutorials and im seriously stuck now. Ive got no coal so i dont have the use of the steam engines now so had to switch over to electric power.
Thankyou in advance

Re: Electricity SOS
double check all solars and accumulators are connected to the grid and wait for day time.
check the power graph (right click on a power pole) and see what failed,
you should see the ouput of the solars maxing out during the morning and then dropping in the evening after the accumulators have charged. If that doesn't happen then add more solars. If the accumulators were fully charged and you ran out of power then add more accumulators. Rinse and repeat until you have enough power to last a full day.

Re: Electricity SOS
Yup, make sure everything is connected properly first.
It's possible that the accumulators just aren't getting charged enough to last through the night, or you don't enough of them, so part way through the night they run out of energy and then you get that warning symbol and no electricity. :p As ratchetfreak said, just make sure you have enough panels to power your base during the day AND charge the Accumulators to full before night comes around. Then check to see if the Accumulators have enough energy to supply your base the whole night.

Oh do you mean on the substation block when you say grid ?ratchetfreak wrote:double check all solars and accumulators are connected to the grid and wait for day time.

Re: Electricity SOS
I meant the power grid. As in the connected power poles.GMT wrote:Oh do you mean on the substation block when you say grid ?ratchetfreak wrote:double check all solars and accumulators are connected to the grid and wait for day time.
It's quite easy to mistakenly have 2 separate networks because a set of power poles didn't connect when you expected them to and you end up with 100 solars and accumulators powering 5 lights
