Loading items without opening them.

Quick thing.

I've found the key combo to pull items from something without opening them (IE Metal plates from a smelter), but how can I load items. (IE: Coal to a Train, or robotic arm) ?

Holding the items you want to put into something, Ctrl-left-Click if you want to fill a full stack, Ctrl-Right-Click if you want to add half a stack.

Is there anyway to do it without holding an item?

It's the only way the game can know what item you want to insert in the device you're interacting with.
