Appearance of alien artefacts
The first thing that comes to my mind is some sort of old-school japanese rpg character in a bubble. But that seems a bit off-topic in factorio
So i'm wondering if i'm seeing this totally wrong or if this is some sort of easter-egg, or early developpement thing that stayed here.

Koub - Please consider English is not my native language.
Re: Appearance of alien artefacts
it sorta reminds me of the graphics from a different game.
A cookie for whoever can name the game(s) these are from.
Anybody under the age of 20 probably wont know.

Personally, I LIKE the appearance of the Alien Artifacts -- being (relatively) a single color, and a bright one, they stand out, even at further zoom levels, enabling one to easily see if they have all been collected from destroyed structures.

Iv never really understood the alien artifact look either. You'd think it'd be some kind of slime ball.

1-3 used to be available on Steam and GoG
But they were removed due to licensing issues between Interplay and Parallax.
However, the games stay in your library if you had already bought them (at least, on steam they do)
The people who made the original games formed a new company called Revival Productions and are making a Descent Prequel called Descent: Underground using the company name Descendant Studios. At least, I think it's the same people, otherwise there might be some copyright issues because the new company supposedly is going to be making a Descent game.

copyright doesn't stay with the team members; instead it gets transferred to the company or publisher depending on the contract.zytukin wrote:1-3 used to be available on Steam and GoG
