How do I upgrade?

I'm a bit confused as the Technical Help FAQ says:

Q: I'm currently "Transport Belt Repair Man". How can I upgrade my account to "Furnace Attendant" or "Mining Drill Operator"?
A: Log in with your account on the site ( http://www.factorio.com/preorder - don't forget to login!), click on buy, and you can buy the other tiers exactly the same way as the basic ones, with the exception, that you only pay the difference.

When I try this I only see "Transport Belt Repair Man"...

I am logged in.

How do I upgrade?

This is outdated. There are no longer tiers - you had to have bought it before it was on Steam to get any of the bonuses (name in the game, access to internal wiki, etc. )

I think they should remove this from the FAQ now, or at least clarify that you can no longer get any higher tiers.

These "ranks" existed before Steam release. Since Steam release, previous owners of the game keep their rank/tier in their profile, but the different tiers from before Steam release can't be obtained anymore.

So are the scenarios just included in the base package now? If not, how do I get them?

Yes, scenarios are included in all game versions/upgrade levels (excluding the demo, of course), since 0.12.23.
These scenarios are:

• Start campaign
  • base/Transport belt madness
  • base/Tight spot
  Custom scenario
  • base/supply
