I know a handful of has have (or currently) played World of Warcraft. One of the nice things you could do in chat, by ctrl-clicking items, is link them to whoever.



Whether for modded servers with huge amount of items, or for newer players to the game (or the mods used) this would be a very useful tool to help communicate.

The result of clicking a link in chat would simply be an exact clone of what you see in the crafting menu... a little popup window displaying Icon, attributes, crafting prerequisites, and whatever else. Double clicking will bring up the crafting menu, take you to the tab it is in, and then flash an eye catching color for a few seconds or indefinitely (until window is closed).

One more thing to expand on this- whether by key shortcut or by right clicking on the linked item, you can put the item in your requester slots for your character.
