Alright, so we've narrowed down the problem a bit...I've got two computers; one directly connected to my modem, which needs to be the host, and one that's connected wireless. Port 34197 is allowed and forwarded in my firewall and on my modem for UDP. We've tried using my local IP and public IP, both with and without the port specified. One straight gives an error message saying a connection wasn't possible, and the other one starts uploading the map from my end (at 10-20 kB/s), and downloading from her end, but this takes *forever.* After a half hour we gave up, because the speed just kept dropping to keep it from finishing.
However, hosting from the wireless computer works fine; I connect to the local IP using the other PC and we're set. Problem is that computer will change frequently, so we do need the directly connected one to be host. Can anyone help me figure out how to pull this off?
