First map, ended up looking a bit like a revolver

My factory has probably got nothing on the fancy designs here so I won't bother explaining any bits (as it's mainly just messy), just posting as I found it looks remarkably like an upside down pistol on the map haha.
I only heard of the game when it appeared on steam so it's my first map, I'm trying to do it all properly by avoiding using any logistics (aside from for refilling my inventory) or smart things, cuz I think it's a bit cheaty using them.

If this is your first factory, I'm truly impressed by the result. I don't have as nice bases as yours, and I'm in my hundreds hours of gameplay

Haha thanks, your ones probably work better than mine though, getting resources in or out after initially placing them is a pain ;P
Just checked and I've done just under 60 hours in that world, though with the effort I put in, I'm not planning on starting any new games currently aha

For your first base this is really quite impressive! I only wishmy first bases was like this, or even my first few bases for that matter. Lol
I do see what you mean about it looking like a pistol. Haha

My first base took me 44hours to complete and it was only about 1/3rd the size of yours so you've done a great job.

this is really, really nice for a first save. My only complaint, because i have to lay it out, is the train network loops. (through stations are fine)
But man, my first .. i got like 14 hours and decided to make a new world, more organized with what i had learned.

Hahaha, to be fair, I think it's more interesting that way, straight plain rail networks are boring
