[0.12.26] "Unexpected error" when loading from manual save

I CTD with an "Unexpected error" when opening a manual save game from the main menu.
The save is of the New Hope campaign, level 2.

Save game, log file and DxDiag are attached to the post.

You probably started the savegame with 0.12.25. There was a bug making saves for New Hope 2 unplayable which was fixed for 0.12.26, but you need to restart that level on 0.12.26 for it to work.

Bugfixes

• Fixed the corrupted level 2 of the New hope campaign, that was producing corrupted saves. If you are already playing this level, you have to start it over, I'm sorry for the trouble.
