Where can I download the dedicated server files?

Hi

please dont let the subject trick you. I bought the game on Steam and I already saw the dedicated server manual on the wiki. My problem is, since I bought it on steam, I cannot download the files. Because I did not bought it trough the website. I got a raspberry pi which I would like to use as dedicated server. I am not sure if it will work out (cuz of the libraries) but I think it would be awesome to try.

Any tips on getting the files?

From the steam forums:

If you only bought the game on Steam (like me), you don't have access to download the headless server.
I emailed support and this was their response:

Hi,

At the moment the headless server isnt availble for steam purchasers,
But next week we will work toward making it available on the website
without an account.

Although I can tell you upfront that it will not run on the Raspberry Pi as the Raspberry uses the ARM-architecture but Factorio is only compiled for x86 and x64 (and the linux headless only for x64). Even if it were compiled to work on it, the Raspberry probably has not enough CPU power and RAM to run it properly.

Was about to grumble about the same thing. I tried messing with the Steam linux install but that just won't play nice on a headless linux server and requires desktop Steam to run. Gave up after an hour or so of screwing around with dummy X video drivers, VNC and a pile of other such things.

So yeah, I *really* want to run a dedicated server, so getting hold of the Linux headless dedicated non-steam server would be excellent Looking forward to it!
