How to join dedicated server from same machine

After starting dedicated serv when i try to run the game, even copied into another folder, i still get "The process cannot access the file used by another process yada yada...". Anyway to solve this? also game being laggy with 3 peaople and maybe dedicated would help with that.

Use the zipped version of factorio to run it in stand-alone mode that uses only installation folder.
Two normal versions will still conflict on accessing files in common documents folder.
