Mod search- Fortress creation made worthwhile / Cities Goods

Hello,

Sorry but these forums are a little hard to figure out where to go and to find out what is there currently and what not. So I would be happy if someone could tell me this:

Is there any mod which implements this idea that you have to create and transport goods to peoples in cities which are created on the planet (or similar, mabye even where you need to defend them)?

Are there mods which makes building fortresses mandatory? Like respawning enemy bases so much that its really worth something when you build up a wall around a resource with tower defenses inside of it?

That both would be so awesome I think...
