What am I doing wrong? Chain signal acting weird

I don't know why this chain signal keeps red after the train leaves the following segment.

edit: I found through reddit that this situation is a bug and should be fixed in future updates.

Why do you place a second signal on each lane ? Shouldn't one each be enough ?
