The biggest "drain" on eei for me is trying to figure out what techs I need for a certain thing. It's not very intuitive, especially once you have a few mods installed. A lot of times I've tried building something, but I need some secondary item to create it, and I spend hours hunting around, researching things that are dead ends, etc. There needs to be a better tech tree, or a way to search for a particular tech or item.

THat would be HUGE.

Tech Tree is coming in alpha 13. I even think it was planned for alpha 12 but then got postponed because of problems, so if so then a lot of the work has already been done.
