Unable to change Factorio username!

I know this isn't anything game breaking, but I do want to change my Factorio username. I can't find an option to do so.... maybe someone can help me?

Do you want to change the one that you login with or just when you play MP? Because in game you can change it.

Go to Options then Other and you will see MP Username there.

Also, if you want to change the username you log in with, you can email support@factorio.com with the request.

Apologies for the necro, this thread is the top result on Google for "factorio change username", and after emailing support as advised above I was told that the option to change username is now under your profile settings at https://www.factorio.com/profile.

I changed my username and now all my items are gone.

If you change your name your save game will see your new name as a new character. You can use a console command to swap your character back in-game:
/swap-players old-username new-username
