and for me the fast inserters aren't fast enough sometimes (mostly for the copper wire coming out from copper plate and in to green electric circuits)
so i thought about something to move items from a belt to a building in large quantity and quickly
which would be a large hydraulic cylinder

it could move 6 items at once (all items that are on 1 cell of the game grid) and fast enough so that won't slow down upper stream items even on express belts
it could be crafted from 2~4 steel (depending of the variants i will talk about later) 2 advanced circuits and a pump (so it won't be very easy to craft too early + realistic because it would need to create it's pressure from electricity)
the variants would be pusher or puller with or without locking walls
pusher/pullers is self explanatory and the puller would take more space (so it would probably also be the one with 4 steel)
but with or without walls are a choice to what would be best to put in the game, cylinders that are so quick that it won't bother items upper stream, or cylinders that blocks those before moving the 6 stack
without walls would look more simple and easier to integrate in a factory without influencing your items flow, but with would be more realistic (because items could be half pushed/pulled from the side of the cylinder
i made a quick animation to see how it could look in the game : http://orig04.deviantart.net/fa19/f/201 ... 9fb3m.webm
(right click to loop)
here it is a pusher without walls under and puller with walls over (with walls have 1 animation more of course)
what do you think?
