I'm kinda tired of being killed by trains in space-constrained bases.
I suppose it happened to everyone at least once: you're absent lost in your thoughts.. you cross the rail and get killed by a fast train. And lose everything: armor, weapons, artifacts..
What about having some rail crossing points or underground rails? That would hugely help when trains cross into main bases

Yes, there are many discussions about save crossings, for example by using automated gates.

What about having two modes for walking?
Using the keyboard should remain the same. If you want to move onto a train track and stay there, you are free to do so, and the train is free to run over you at maximum speed.
Right clicking (or left clicking) on the ground, outside of your building range, could make your character automatically walk there, just like in many real time strategy games. However, this kind of walking would avoid walking over a railroad track if a train approaches.

So I have been thinking about how trains could go underground like belts to avoid things like a factory,biter base or forest that could maybe take some concrete or bricks,let me know what you think.
