Update on Linux fails "couldn't resolve hostname"

Update on Linux fails "couldn't resolve hostname"

I tried to update my Factorio on Linux (Ubuntu 15.4) to get the scenario pack and any attempt fails with the message
"Update failed:
Download failed (Couldn't resolve host name -- name lookup timed out)"

I managed to update myself to 0.12.4 by manually downloading zips but I cannot do the same with scenario pack as the link does not exist on webpage anymore.

Any help would be appreciated.
