never underestermate biters

so after an hour playing I see a biter base nearby I decided to go in my car and kill it I get there and start shooting since id had no attacks yet I underestimated them and my car was blown to smithereens but my shotgun helped me escape bare in mind this was a new base with big worms.

please help me with new tactics and way to kill bases in the future

The best way to tackle worms is with turrets, my main to big worm killing strats have a low & high tech version.

Low Tech - Requires gun turrets:
Ideally you want piercing rounds and some damage upgrades, but with just turrets this strategy can work. What you do is craft a stack or two of repair packs, take several stacks of extra ammo, and at least 1 gun turret. Approach the worm until it rises up, but not yet attacking. Place the turret in range of the big worm within range of its firing & quickly load up ammo. Grab the repair pack in your "hand" and alternative repairing the turret and killing spawning biters, free time / ammo can be spent on the worm helping the turret.

High Tech - Laser turrets (Full turret creep)
Place laser turrets & keep them repaired, pretty simple.

Another good way is poison capsules, do a quick run in toss a couple and it should kill them while you handle biters & eating fish.

Whichever comes into their aggression range first.

Yeah definitely don't forget poison, it is quite effective against worms and even weaker biters/splitters because they stack. So throwing down will stack all their damage.
