HCCF: High Capacity Compact Foundry

Post by Icebird »

After many hours of tweaking and tinkering, I think I managed the most compact foundry possible that can process a full two lanes mineral belt.
The main problem is the electric alimentation of the inserters, since a two lanes mineral belt mean you need a second belt of coal, and that leave no place for electric poles.

Unless.. you use underground belts for the coal!

Solid design. No tile wasted. I put this to good use. Thank you.

Interesting design indeed.

I'm using this a little less compact version. The electric pole in between the furnaces perfectly covers all inserters.
