In some special situations it is so, that the signal can be placed too near to the switch, which leads to strange results.

In my eyes it is not really a bug, but so unawaited and non-transparent for the player, that it should be handled as bug.
I think there are some more of these combinations possible (switches or even very near rails or the train-stop).
A fix should either show the player, that the signal blocks both paths or it should not be allowed to place the signal so close or it makes the signal non-operateable (blinking).

I agree it is not a bug. Though some better visualization will be necessary. This is also related to visualizing one-direction rail signals (which is already something on our todo list).
