If one takes a small blueprint or ghost (1~2 tiles wide) and tries to drag place the blueprint while moving, the ghosts are only placed once every 2-10 tiles, rather than every tile.
I suspect that this is because the player moves more than one tile/tick while in map view.

The only case for which building gap is prevented is when building a single entities by dragging, it is not applied for whole blueprints for couple of reasons.

The bug report mentions ghost building not just blueprints.

I've forgotten to mention this also applies to manually placed entities if the cursor moves very quickly: especially at low UPS.
