Source required. They used the words "release" and "February" in the same paragraph once, to my knowledge. I don't recall them using the word "early" in that paragraph. But it was assuredly not a sentence saying "we are going to release in early February" or anything remotely like it.

There are rumors that they plan to release as soon as they are ready to release.

The estimates devs give are crude and often quite optimistic estimates and not hard deadlines. So, it may be late February, March, June or whatever. We should appreciate that devs want to keep exceptional quality and make game ready and not push them to publish half baked bug collections at arbitrarily given day like many companies do at these days.
