Why should you use this?
It is a great tool to make and test your intersections, find inefficiencies, and find out if the intersection deadlocks.
- Here is an addon for doing multiple tests after each other. Just add the BP under the display viewtopic.php?p=560235#p560235
Essential mod: Automatic train deployment
Adjust M and K for quicker tests. Standard: M=15 (min), K = 2 (min).
K = Preparation time in minutes
M = Measuring time in minutes
C = Number of custom sets
Loco signal = trains per min per lane
Sets 1-3 are made for testing intersections on the bench, and are used for the Intersection post
Sets 4 or higher are custom sets only available in manual mode.
Set 4 equally distributes trains between all output lanes. Set 4 is great for testing any type of intersection.
For example:
- 8-way
- 16-way
- Intersections that allow U-turns.
- Intersections that allow lane changing. (4 lanes or more)
- Planned intersections
That is to say: Everything that isn't a normal 3 way or 4 way intersection.
Sets 5-8 allow you to make custom trains (and train schedules) to test different destination loads. You can also put weights on spawned trains so that they pick one direction more or less than other directions.
There are some examples in place, and you can just replace those trains if you want. Look at the example trains to see how you can weight directions.
I recommend using this console command since a full test can take one hour in game time.
Code: Select all
/c game.speed = 10
