We are now using this on an Arumba mass multiplayer server. When we open the mod for the first time it takes a while to load (maybe a thing to put in while loading the map). We also changed the config to make new players join the player force. That part worked fine but they still had some things guests wouldn't be able to do (the admins got the same problem). The inventory stayed big and we couldn't start research. We deleted the lines that added that limit for the guests and it now is really stable (apart from the long loading the first time). Great work we love your mod!!

Hi primedead,

I do not understand this "long loading time". I checked again my code, and it do not compute anything cpu-stressing at any time, so I guess this long load time do not come from SpaceBook. Can you give me a list of all your mods ?

We found something which crashed the server. If we selected something with the spacebook tool with a size of 0 the server would crash. We use these mods: add-loader, angelsinfiniteores, angelspetrochem, angelsrefining, angelstrigger, autodeconstruct, autofill, auto-research, bob's mods (all of them), bottleneck, bullet-trails, burnerleech, charcoalburner, color-coding, copyassemblerpipedirection, crafting_speed_research, enhanced_map_colors, FARL, foreman, itemcount, larger inventory, laser_beam_turrets, lateupgrades, lightweightinvsort, long-reach-research, nanobots, pickerextended, quickug, railtanker, researchrevolution, rso-mod, shinybobs(not on modportal made by nexela), smallfixes, spacebook, squeak through, stickynotes, tree_collision, undecorator, upgrade-planner and warehousing. Nexela is also on our server. :D
We are using the mod as a moderator tool instead of the pvp aspect of the mod (if that helps).
The long loading time takes place when I open it for the first time on any server with any amount of people(also new maps) (maybe because it takes time to initialise).

Hi,

I made some changes.
I tried to correct the spacebook tool bug.
And also try to do my best to avoid to many testing when several users are initiating at the same time.
Please update and test.

I have problem on my side to do development testings, because Factorio do not allowed multiple instance of the game running on the same machine as before. I made a request here : viewtopic.php?f=34&t=38989 . But I suppose it's a feature to avoid piracy.

You can run multiple instances if you use 2 zipped installs instead of the .Exe ones. We have reported multiple bugs if you need stress testing we are probably able to provide it. Just ask :D

No problem.My server settings needed some changes but now it works.
So I made testings, and I did not find out any problem.
Did you try the last version I posted on the portal ?

yes I did I'm using it right now. We still have the same thing where it drops you from the game and then opens if you use it for the first time. I also didn't see a fix for the problem where we changed the config and it still used some guest permissions (the 3 lines of code for research and inventory). So I deleted that again.

We are now getting a crash of some sort on the Arumba community bobs mods.
Here is a link of the current version of the modpack of which has been experiencing the crash. At least me and one other person can confirm this.

Hi,

this error is very weird to me. When I look at the lines that are involved, I do not see any relation between the last 2 lines ...

anyway, I tried to add a check in line 819, please tell me if it works better, because this error is quite mysterious to me...

Note : I also included the changes with the "guest" force that you added in your version.

Thank you for your quick response and quick fixes. I will update the mod. We have run 3 games with spacebook now and this is the first time we got this kind of error so it is hard to try to reproduce it. I updated the mod and the config now works and the save game which had that problem and we thought was corrupted works again. I think the problem is fixed now.
