[0.13.17][Multiplayer only, Linux] Rendering stops

Post by nikow »

Factorio on multiplayer seems to stop rendering screen from time to time (i did not found any related action). I can still interact with the word (i can build, shot, run), sounds all around me plays normaly, but just rendering stops for 1 to 30 seconds. I spend around 10h on single player (on 0.13.17) and i did not had issue like that. It doesn't matter if i am the one with the server or other player is serving game in multiplayer. I am using ubuntu, other player is using Windows 10 64bit. I am using Steam version, othr player is using version from page. There are no mods installed. Logs, screenshots available here:
http://nikow.pl/~nikow/factorio/freezing_factorio/

What i spotted:
Sleep (on the screenshots) is very high (like here: http://nikow.pl/~nikow/factorio/freezin ... -39-55.jpg)
All the time hardware is not stressed (as you can see on monitors above the game).

What i tried and did not helped:
I played with the GUI scaling setting, video memory usage, texture compresion, light rendering, vsync and number of threads settings, nothing changed.

Logs:
http://nikow.pl/~nikow/factorio/freezin ... urrent.log
http://nikow.pl/~nikow/factorio/freezin ... evious.log

You should also post your save file so that it's possible to attempt to reproduce the problem - without that the chance of identifying/fixing the issue is near zero!

Neither the screenshots nor the logs show anything wrong.
Please make some screenshots with mulitplayer_waiting_statistics activated with and without the issue occurring.

The issue seems to be not depended from map. We tried a lot of maps.

More screenshots are not showing anything more (i think), but i spoted intersting thing. When i have detailed debug turned on, it's still freezing, but when i turn on full debug, it's working fine (but i do not see anything). My FPS is lowering on full debug to 58.8, it can be a reason why it stops redrawing. When it's freezing, i turned on and off full debug and it's works good to next freeze. Window resize seems to be helping too.

My issue hasa been partialy solved by turning Factorio 0.14.0 in Fullscreen mode in singleplayer. MP Tests for 0.14.0 still needed though.
