Sorry for bumping this but I had another good idea linked to this one: I often check for trains to do the right thing correctly in the map with radar-covered zones. It would be great to ask in the map "Please alert me once when a train stops at this station" so I can get something like - T...

Especially in multiplayer when you join and find a full-blown and fully-functional base, factorio lacks objectives.

Anyway speed limit in base is completely fine. Trains in real life already do that. Giving the user a chance to customize the speed limit approaching a train stop or via train signals will make sense. I'm kinda tired of being killed by trains in space-constrained bases. I suppose it happened to everyone at least once: you're absent lost in your thoughts.. you cross the rail and get killed by a fast train. And lose everything: armor, weapons, artifacts.. What about having some rail crossing points...

We really need that kick-when-multiple-connections-have-been-tried script. People are freezing the server without being able to connect

Yes, that is another possible use. I often have a hard time telling other players where should they head to by just looking at the map
