Re: Player Inventory Size
Going in a completely opposite direction. What if the player could only carry reasonable amount of stuff. Not much more than some tools, guns, armor etc. That he can carry around several thousands bars of steel and the equivalent of half a forest in trees is a bit OP almost. You can run around and ...

Re: Picking up everything in game takes so long
I think that technically you're not picking things up, you mine them. That includes furnaces etc. Which makes sense I suppose. It's not like you could 'pick up' most of those things, they are way too big!

Re: Picking up everything in game takes so long
It seems that you are doing that without any kind of tools. I.e axes.
Get some decent tools and picking things up goes much much quicker.

Re: Player Inventory Size
I have a plan to implement this to my dynamic system in DyTech. You start small, and get more inventory space as you progress throu the game. It will ofcourse, include a lot of factors to upgrade your inventory. Something like craft an backpack (gets destroyed after use) craft certain amount of goo...

Re: [Polls Closed] The signals
I've tried using them, but found it to be a combination of confusing how they actually work in regards to the wiring of chests. What does it count and how to create a larger network. Atm I can't say how it interfaces with the logic network. I seemed to make the chests connected with wires invisible ...

The reason would be that a lot of us accidentaly use Esc over and over because it's a natural way of closing windows in most games.

Re: Player Inventory Size
Reducing the size of the player inventory by a large amount would be very annoying, Chrille. Realism has to give away to gameplay. I could argue that it could add to the gameplay when the idea is that you have to handle large amounts of items that you can't carry around. I'm not talking about simpl...

Car upgrade
I've been playing around with a map with huge forests. Been thinking that it would be awesome if there was some way of going through them that doesn't mean chopping down every tree! (Right now I*m using my SMG instead and just shooting everything to shreds!) Either some kind of armament and armor fo...

Re: Global story, or the Why?
This makes me realize one of the problems of the base structure of this game as a sandbox compared to minecraft. You have a finite research tree. It is built in way that is syncronous with an end. As you say there is a goal. People talk about end game. I'd love at least the possibility for "tru...

Re: Bot pickup minus the chicken.
Kind of off topic but it reminded me of a similar annoyance. If I start using bots in an area i've not completely thought through and might want to change later. It's horribly annoying to have all the bots flying around in the way. I'd love to have some way of ignoring the bots. Maybe even make them...

Re: Hotbar/belt changes: Just Hotlinks, no items itself
I don't hate that items are actually held in mousepointer and hotbar. But it get's quite frustrating with the two belts and how a lot of items seem to jump around. There have been so many times that I'd gone "WTF!? Why is there a steam engine in my hotbar!? I haven't used them in hours!" a...

Re: copy settings
I initally thought that you would be able to left click on an existing entity to copy it's settings when holding shift.
(the yellow marker showing which one is copied at the moment).
Got a bit annoyed when it didn't work. Got frustrated when it forgot it as soon as I placed something else.

Re: [0.8.4++] Player as requester/provider chest
I especially am in favor of the simple idea of having slots rather than amounts specified as standard. I get quite annoyed that I can't request X stacks of items instead of even hundreds. Maybe even as a standard feature from the start that don't need researching, the ability to use middle mouse but...

Re: Requester Chests Toggle inf.
I love the idea of them working as now though. As buffer chests. Since otherwise they'd have to occupy all the bots worktime for some time if we want to have it inf filled or you'd have to remember to run back and reorder stuff. I'd love TSGs suggestion added to it though. So that you can chose to o...

Re: [MODS 0.8.x] Various Mods by FreeER
Since i'm testing stuff now.. The hoverbike creates a runtime error as well. Error while loading prototype "hoverbike": Energy amount has to be specified in W or J Fiddled around a bit and saw where it seemed to lack the quotes and a W. changed it to consumption = "5W" Which led ...

Re: [MODS 0.8.x] Various Mods by FreeER
I fudged around a bit myself in the codes and the dynamiting doesn't crash everything at least. One thing I'm thinking about though. Is it supposed to work that it only gives 1 ore when using on Gems? I did too little testing on vanilla ores I realise as I only tried it on Coal once and I might well...
