If the loader is ever introduced it would help so much with the ore transfer rate hurdle due to only being able to use 3 fast inserters to extract at the fastest possible speed.
That's only because you can't use a passive/active provider chest though, that would also help

A "Stack Inserter"?

I like the idea of the train gaps, it means there's not a real difference between the vertical & horizontal stations which is nice.

I like most of the ideas that've been posted earlier but thought I'd suggest some more:

- Loader only unloads to the middle of the belt (i.e. 1 Stream of items, not both sides)
- Limited speed, only available in yellow for instance
