If you already loaded your save in 2.0 the biggest change has already happened - your rail curves changed. Old ones continue to exist but I don’t think you can build them anymore.

Quality actually feels quite nice so far for me - I can dabble in it and get some serious rewards (quality even to uncommon and rare of certain things is really nice - armor and equipment, spacecraft components (not platform!), accumulators and solar panels, power poles).

This could be handled by interrupts.
Make it so if you name an interrupt “Temporary Stop” it calls that interrupt when arriving at a temporary stop.
Then you program the interrupt how you’d like.

Gleba is hard because it punishes the thing everyone has done since time immemorial in Factorio - let belts backup by overproduction.

I optimize by building the next one better.
I won’t replace my iron factories with the new Vulcanus machines but by NEW iron expansion certainly is using them.

Death world is the only one that it really matters on, and then only early game as you need to minimize pollution so you don’t get overwhelmed. Most death worlds that die die in a loop of “mining to make the weapons/ammo results in more attacks than the weapons/ammo can deal with”.

My only annoyance is that I have two islands close enough that I can connect them with a single logistic network (barely) but it makes a U shape and bots die outside the lightning protection.

My rough calculation is there are about 300 items, times 5 quality levels, so around 1500 - so maybe after 2048 slots in a chest it should switch to Logistics style - where it shows one item per "virtual slot" and tells you how many total slots you have.

I have a similar issue - I have not received any tips & tricks after the quality ones; I've reached volcanus from YouTube tutorials but haven't a thing in the tips.

The biggest things I see as “easier” are the quality weapons that - if you focus on them when you can (a few miners with quality mods and a splitter to sort are all you really need) you become quite powerful early game.
