I solved the problem by building a new computer.

It was probably the fresh OS install that did it rather than the hardware.

It seems as though I am the only one that has ever had this issue, it is completely unheard of otherwise?

I was playing the game before work a few days ago and everything was working normally, when I came home from work and tried to play the game there is no mouse cursor in game anymore ...

I am running version 17.79 on windows 10, AMD R370, Z97, 4670 not oc'ed.

The game ran fine with no issues for many hrs as configured.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, mouse, video drivers are up to date.

The mouse works normally until game start then the cursor ...

When I start Factorio my mouse cursor disappears, it works fine in every other app I have and this is a recent development.

I have mouse trails on off.

There is no mouse cursor in game.
