Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

not again not sure if i should look into it with pyAL in the next weeks or so BUT if py tells me to look into it and fix it i would . maybe i should do another run down the chain for all ores ? I mean it's not game breaking or anything, just a tad awkward for nexelit and chromium. Plus to get to th...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

1.8.9, so pretty recent, Changelog doesn't say anything about nexelit updates since then. I can scan 1.9.0 to see if that's where it got fixed maybe? I ran the first calculations with helmod from pulp 04. However, the second part is just looking at recipes, can you check what yours looks like? I thi...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

There are several places where smelting reduced metal is just bad, such that the only reason to produce reduced metal is if you're going to sinter it afterwards. When I was last looking at this in detail, there were places where this was true of high grade metals as well. The problem here is that r...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

Bug report: Reduction process for nexelit4 is strictly worse then sinter process. Pretty sure it wasn't meant to be 6 high grade nexelit to 1 reduced nexelit.. should be 2:1 or 1:1 or 1:6.... 75 pulp 04 = 15 nexelit direct smelt (direct means molted nexelit -> plates) 55 pulp 04 = 15 nexelit via 04 ...

Re: Fusion power setup andvice and limitations

use tanks to easy the curves. i am useing them in the case of the 1 2 3k it is the variable temperature that is to blame , anyway i managed to stabilize the power made at 10 750 MW the problem is that when the 3k one inserts steam you can produce a lot of power fast but that runs out fast if you wa...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

Indeed, that is good news. I've been browsing stdlib and nothing has jumped out as being incompatible yet . However, that is no guarantee, and there might be something obscure lurking. I think it prudent to not even attempt to force its version number for fear of breaking saves. Also, separated gra...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

And what's wrong with fps in 0.18? Not understood - i'm playing on 0.17 bcuz i don't want to brake my py-mod-pack I think what is meant is that there have been many optimizations and improvements in 0.18 that we will not get to enjoy in our current Py games and larger factories that are inevitable ...

I just unlocked intelligent design which turned on a large fraction of my base and my UPS is starting to suffer :(

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

Py suite will need a release for 0.18 as it is not compatible right now. That means that 0.17.79 stable players will then be incompatible unless there are separate releases for 0.17 and 0.18 Make a separate backup of 0.17 to continue playing until this is resolved. Sadly the major version causes a ...

Re: PyRO Chains Analysis

I use aluminum tiles :). There's this weird point in pymods where you finished science3 but you didn't get science4 yet (the one needed intelligent design). At that point you are not consuming ANY aluminum (save for duralinum), but you are consuming lots of nickel/nichrome just to keep base operatin...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

I'm really not sure what sniper is talking about, the lead/silver chain lets you turn a given blob of ore either entirely into lead or entirely into silver, regardless of how far you take the chain. There is no "byproduct" lead. Yeah, I can show pictures later today. It's nice that lead a...

fusion got a buff , i updated the calculator for the new values Awsome! Will test it out :). Although fission is still good enough for me with only 1.5GW base... Fusion is great now! Thank you :). I am doing fusion 1,2,3. I really like how control of fusion is varied across the three (fusion 1 make...

Re: Ingredient Belt Sharing ?

Eventually you'll be "forced" to go to trains :). Everything is wagon, train is life, train is love. Belts don't scale when you have 30+ liquids and sooo many physical.
(for example, red science requires 110 inputs when going from pretty much nothing. )

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

Its looks strange with oleochemicals changing Consumption of lard, why then, was accelerated, that is, before 20 pieces of lard was consumed within 10 seconds, and now 40 pieces of lard is consumed within 10 seconds, that is 2 times faster, probably it is necessary to increase the consumption time ...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

Maybe Nexelit processing 3 and 4 (and other such high level ore processings) are more or less only for those situations when you are overflowing with glycerol from Oleochemical production, or have extra Zipir skin that you don't know what to to with ? The problem is that one needs nexelit 3 since i...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

Oleochemical balances! 1) Sulfur generation nerfs from desulfirization... not sure if anybody will care. Aromatics to lubricant didn't get nerfed :) Desulfirization recipe (active carbon + coal gas -> sulfur + ash + syngas) now gives less sulfur (5->1).... Desulfirization recipe (curde_oil + iron_or...
