I've been discussing it a bit with some others here: https://github.com/factoriolab/factorio-lab/issues/72
I don't know which should become the "standard" but I like how the tool referenced in that thread is standalone and just produces JSON.

Re: YAFC - Factorio calculator/analyser for modded games
Holy shit! Excellent work the UI looks slick!
It looks like a bunch of us keep writing the same code to parse mod data. I wonder if the community should try to build a generic utility to generate item and recipe data...

Re: Factorio Lab
Awesome work!
Just wanted to reach out and offer some help if you ever decide to try to incorporate mod data into the tool. I'm helping to develop Foreman at the moment and I could certainly help you get mod data integrated like we have!

Foreman 0.18.0, Now on Github!
Hey, I published a similar post on Reddit last week but I wanted to reach out here as well since they might not be the same people. Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/genajr/foreman_is_still_alive/ Basically, I wanted to let everyone know that Foreman is still alive and it's active dev...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Hello. I fixed a few things yesterday in Foreman from Pobiega's fork on Bitbucket and made a Reddit thread about it. (https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/cfglbn/somewhat_fixed_foreman_for_factorio_017x_lastest/) This fixes a number of things for Factorio lastest beta (0.17.58 at the time). S...

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this thread.
Many bugs have been fixed in the Github version of the project: https://github.com/Rybadour/Foreman
If you experience any issues with that version please create a bug report on Github!

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I see some chatter about Electrolsyers. I'm no expert on Angels/Bob but I ran into a bug in the source code that seems relevant. -- add angels electrolysis to bobs if angelsmods.trigger.disable_bobs_electrolysers then OV.disable_recipe("electrolyser") OV.disable_recipe("electrolyser-2...

Re: Question about Lua implementation
Excellent thanks! I'll incorporate it into Foreman! Btw, do ya'll have any plans to make all this easier for tool developers? Or is there an open ticket? It's not ideal that we have to re-implement a big chunk of how mods are interpreted in Factorio. If ya'll had a standalone application that could ...

Question about Lua implementation
Hey! I'm working on fixing up Foreman so that it works correctly for Bobs/Angels. Foreman: https://github.com/Rybadour/Foreman I ran into an error coming out of various Angel's mods: C:\Users\Ryan\AppData\Local\Temp\angelsrefining_0.11.10\angelsrefining_0.11.10\data.lua (...p\angelsrefining_0.11.10\...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Also for those that were waiting on some fixes I've uploaded a new version that should be much more stable: https://bitbucket.org/rybadour/foreman/downloads/ I haven't looked into the Stdlib issue yet but Bobs/Angels works great for me so it didn't seem a high priority at the moment! Thank you for ...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Bizz Keryear, you're probably right. I should probably create a new thread. Not sure if you've seen the recent posts but I've taken over development for the moment. I've reached out to all the previous members and while were all talking none of them are interested in any major development of Foreman...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
I have not been using Foreman in a while but I noticed when I entered the desired amount for plastic bars the displayed amount is twice of what I entered. When I enter 800 items/min it displays 1600 items/min. The required products seem to check out. Also when I also want 800 iron plates per minute...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Thanks for the bug report! I'll try and get the stdlib thing fixed right away.
I'll put a task in my backlog to address this issue of reloading. I wonder if some of my testing could be affected as well...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
No problem! Thanks for the error log. It looks like 0.17 probably changed the data for a number of things I'll have to do some research to see what changed. At this point I'll have to start writing code to do compatibility checks for different versions so that will be fun!

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Found the issues you've experienced and another related one I ran into.
New version is available now to download: https://bitbucket.org/rybadour/foreman/downloads/
This version also sorts the mods in the enable/disable form and no longer makes the loading panel float above all apps.

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Hmm this is weird. Do you have TodoList installed? It's seems strange that everyone seems to be reporting this as an error. Maybe I accidentally put part of my own testing application into the .zip file... Either way I'll look into it. Also, there are many issues with recipes at the moment but the o...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Well for the normal game it kinda works, but I use all "bob's mods" exept vehicles. And I get an error while loading or, when I get it to load it looks like the mod settings I took are not correct. For example the construction robot nr1 should be build differently based on these settings ...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Hey,
I was able to fix the problem and I've uploaded a new version here: https://bitbucket.org/rybadour/foreman/downloads/
Feel free to create issues on that project if you find anymore issues with 0.17.
Thanks!
