I started testing new ways of implementing the artillery...
and I'm going to improve a few things with the next release!

I was doing something like this back when I started the SupremeWarfare mod :)
Sadly if you want to fully automate it you will run soon into performance problems... (limited by modding API)
I am hoping that it will get better when version 0.13 is released^^

I don't like the original design by XKnight, it has to many flaws.
But I really like the 2nd design and in fact DOSorDIE and I are using it in our factory. 8-)
We use it to filter items from a fully compressed belt without losing compression (truely amazing ;) )

Hey with what factorio version are you playing?

Most of the artillery cannons have a min fire range! That's why they do not fire.
Plus the Big Bang Artillery needs manual targeting (Target capsule)

Correct me if I am wrong here, but I think that's because the artillery (being a turret entity) automatically tracks the nearest enemy, while the actual "target" the projectile will try to hit gets selected by a custom script.
That's the same reason the MK1 (rocket turrets) cause lag when shooting ...

I'm looking for updated graphics for the "Dytech_Corpse_Collector" Mod.
It currently only has the smart chest graphics. I'm going to use it in my Mod.

The current version of SupremeWarfare is focused on Artillery cannons. But there is more to warfare than Artillery. :twisted:
Do you want me to split it into artillery and new stuff or put all of it in one MOD?

1) Research costs are pretty high and oddly distributed. Particularly given the build costs of the guns and ammo themselves.
In the most recent version I changed the research to make T1 and T2 available earlier in the game ...
