Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
lol pft long time since iv gave input, very mixed opinions of everyone but everyone has lost the point of it? the concept to build tall doesn't exist yet in factorio and I don't know if this was the right way to go about it .. prehaps a rethink? -

Re: Is game dead or not? [Not at all]
a promise to have 1.2 about this year This year? I mentally postponed it to next year. That's no issue for me, just a thing to keep in my mind about what (in my gaming realm) will happen when. I have well enough to do in the current Factorio, so no need to rush things. this aged well, me scrolling ...

Re: Friday Facts #266 - Cleanup of mechanics
why would you remove the sense of progression by crafting new items that are stronger for a weak idea that you just get better speed? like I don't get it? pls explain kthxs you know what would be a good idea though? if we removed all weapon slots so you no longer have to craft and weapons and just h...

Re: Friday Facts #225 - Bots versus belts (part 2)
I do see how you guys are between a rock and a hard place with this decision, but saying you're going to remove a well used feature of your game was obviously going to garner some negative attention don't play coy btw nobody enjoys using bots so obviously just make bot bases more fun, explore the id...

Re: 0.16 Map generation Feedback
100% prefer the old style of map generation, don't know how not to generate the snakey maps, want something more that looks like an actual landmass. not Pandora box map

Re: 0.16 Map generation Feedback
It's a bad thing because when you set "very rare / very small" settings for a resource, you don't want to see several humongous patches in your immediate vicinity. And with 0.16 this is exactly what happens with oil and uranium. Not even as exception, this is typical map generator's behav...

Re: 0.16 Map generation Feedback
Seams fine to me, I kind of like it. .15 was way too many resources at the start I think that searching for them at the start is not a bad deal. Yeah, but it's a bit too far in the other direction. Like only having 30k or so coal and half a dozen a miners. It's not even consistent. No coal or stone...

Re: Whats the stance on griefing ?
Evidence #1: You are opposed to anti-griefing measures of any sort, as would anyone who intends to be a griefer. It is logical to keep the option to grief open if possible when one intends to. Evidence #2: Your most recent statement implies that you will not be using the same name in-game as you do...

Re: Whats the stance on griefing ?
I feel like the only sane human being on this forum, everyone advocating this sort of shit blows my fucking mind. No, I think you're the only one here who is unwilling to even attempt to maintain an enjoyable game experience for most players. I'd even go as far as say you are so opposed to griefing...

Re: Whats the stance on griefing ?
I guess I've never seen a multiplayer game that doesn't have a (usually hidden) policy like this? If you had to manage this game, would you want obviously malicious players to keep roaming around? I still can't see how the blacklist is supposed to work though. Any kind of "evidence" or wh...

Re: Whats the stance on griefing ?
The server owner has full control over who can join and who can't. If you don't want to require authentication, you can disable it. If you don't like what they're doing with the server list, players can go around the whole thing and connect by ip. I don't think "in short, yes" was in resp...

Re: Whats the stance on griefing ?
The game doesn't require you to login in order to play multiplayer. You can connect to servers with their ip just fine, and as a host you can also disable authentication if you want to. Servers and players are free to connect without using our authentication or matching server so players which you ...
