Thanks for the reply, I believe that this crash may have been due to something else. I posted another crash report a little bit after posting this report and one user pointed out that RivaTuner causes some instability with factorio. It may be that RivaTuner was also responsible for the crash ...

Hmm it seems to indeed be RivaTuner causing the issue (thank you tehfreek for the tip), have disabled it and not experienced any other crashes since with about an hour or so of game-time. Will update if anything changes

1. When opening the changelog section under about and switching between features and major feature the game crashes for 0.17; subversion all.
2. Recreate this by doing the above relatively quickly (less than a second between tabs, curiously if you switch slowly there is no issue...), you may have to ...

1. This is right after I updated the game to 0.17.5 from 0.16.51 (not entirely sure about which 0.16 version but it was up to date with latest 0.16 IIRC)
