Re: New Shortcut Buttons cannot be enabled

FYI That added this in patch 0.17.2:
Added /unlock-shortcut-bar console command to unlock all shortcuts at once. This command does not disable achievements.

Re: New Shortcut Buttons cannot be enabled

Ok I figured out a way to do it be sure to save first since this will disable achievements, however the buttons will remain active after a reload: save the game press shift+~ (shift + tilde / the grave accent / backtick key) to open the console enter: /c game.player.force.research_all_technologies()...

New Shortcut Buttons cannot be enabled

I just started playing 0.17 and one issue I noticed was that only the "ALT" mode shortcut button in the new ui near the new quickbar was able to be selected. Others like undo, copy / paste etc have their checkbox disabled so that it cannot be checked. Is there perhaps a setting or a tech t...

Re: Friday Facts #172 - Blending and Rendering

The new graphics look really cool! It might also be helpful if the signal had some subtle inherent way they displayed their direction. Consider, for example, the 1 way signals in OpenTTD, and how they have a clear front and back: https://wiki.openttd.org/images/3/37/1-way_signal_loop.png fig.1 The f...

Crash when Starting on Ubuntu 14.04

Hi I have 2 machines that are almost identical (home / office) except that my office machine has 6 monitors across 2 gpus (and using 2 X-Servers), whereas my home only has 3 monitors on 1 GPU (all the gpus are geforce 660s). When I run factorio on my home machine it starts up fine. When I run it on ...

Re: Not launching on Ubuntu 16.04 [0.14.17]

This problem is currently affecting me on 0.14.21. I have 2 X Servers each running on their own NVIDIA card (not-SLI'd as my motherboard doesn't support it).
Each X servers / card has 3 monitors so 6 monitors total. I'll try disabling one of them and report back.

Re: Friday Facts #137 - The release scarecrow

You should consider putting the visualization for train cars spaces on the tracks around signals as well, to help with laying out signals at the right spacing.

Re: [0.11.5] [cube] GLIBC_2.16 problem for ubuntu 12.04

Thinking about it some a simpler option might be to just target glibc 2.11 it's what blender[1] does and it seems to work well enough. If you want want to do that compiling in ubuntu 10.04 would probably work [2][3] 1: http://www.blender.org/download/ 2: http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/libc6 3: htt...

Re: [0.11.5] [cube] GLIBC_2.16 problem for ubuntu 12.04

I just got bit by this when trying to upgrade to the experimental version. I deal with similar stuff for work, so I can help you set up a build for each linux distro / release you want to support, (Personally I am using ubuntu 12.04 which Is why I am having this issue because it uses an old glibc). ...
