Yeah, if you look at my OP, running the game (and steam) in compatibility mode was one of the things I tried to correct the issue. It didn't help or hurt; so I left it. I can turn it back, but it won't correct the problem.

Mods should be the same on laptop and desktop. Deleted all mods, then synchronized with the save.

Here's my most recent log, loading in on the terminal with mods enabled:
Before this, based on linked posts with similar issues, I tried defragmenting the hard drive. No luck.

I checked. And my previous save which gave me no problems on my terminal was .17.14

Playing on Desktop PC which I have used to play Factorio consistently for the past 200 or so hours. VR-Capable Machine with a 1060 GTX, 16GB RAM, SSD. Can you say internal name of red or blue chips? What about mods? So what if you don't know them off the top of your head, or how to look them up from within the game? Much easier than config file will be some constant combinator, that have signals with amount of items in your inventory. The script can read this combinator and insert them to your inventory for free, maybe also to special passive provider chests. Changing recipes can be done before the game starts...

There exist several mods which add electric versions of all the furnaces, but those furnaces produce the same amount of pollution as coal-fueled furnaces, so there isn't much point unless you run out of coal. Having these furnaces emit half as much, or no pollution, would make more sense to me. Also...
