I believe the white box is related to the station, which is related to the track pieces, which are 2x2, instead of 1x1 like everything else in game

Someone mentioned they heard an assembler pickup sound when they finish mining big sandy rocks. I have also noticed an extra sound playing when I finish mining rails and walls. The sound is like a machine is working, but only for a fraction of a second, upon completion of the mining of said item.

Also, I don't have pictures, but when building rail stations, the inserter highlights the box it picks up from, as well as the train station highlighting the space the wagon occupies. This wouldn't be an issue, however, the boxes do not line up with each other, so it ends up with 2 offset boxes ...

It does, however, the devs are known to be great, and why not add what I would think is a very simple option, as this is a big change from the old quickbar. Also, if a time comes in the future when keybinds are reset (for some reason) then this just makes things so much easier.
