[Linux 0.18.17] Loader points the wrong way when using pipette tool.
I'm playing in the sandbox mode. When you use the pipette tool (default keyboard Q) on a loader that loads into a chest, it defaults into the opposite direction. This happens for all directional orientation of the loader: ----> = loader [ ] = any kinda box ---->[ ] pipette tool on the loader results...

[0.18.9] Wave Defense no longer have team funds for solo play
I usually have the option to upgrade things when I've defeated a wave, but I've found that team funds remained at zero even at day 25. Was this intentional or is it a bug? Thanks!

[0.18.2] Compilatron won't shut up
I'm playing the tutorial. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or was it intended, but Compilatron won't shut up. When you get close to Compilatron, you can hear an excited drone sound (sounds like whee-whee, whee-whee, over and over again). The further you get from Compilatron, the quieter the sound gets...

Linux 0.18.2 Can't insert half of stack into burner inserters
Usually, when I have a stack of coal, say 50, I can deposit 50% of it to the burner inserter using the shortcut and mouse. Now, I can't do it for the burner inserter, but others, like burner miner, I can still do it. This happened while I was playing the tutorial. It happens on and off, and not cons...

Allow right-clicking on Upgrade/Deconstruction Planner for instant customization
Right now, when I want to create a deconstruction planner that only removes electric poles, I have to: 1. Left click on deconstruction planner (or Alt-D) 2. Open my inventory 3. Place the deconstruction planner in my inventory 4. Right-click on the newly placed deconstruction planner 5. Finally, edi...

[0.17.22] Flamethrower turret doesn't have a visible targetting range anymore.
The flamethrower turret usually has a targeting range area. Now, it just has a long thin line to the right of the turret. That screenshot was with a sandbox, cheats on, daylight on, items on. If that makes a difference. It also happens in normal gameplay with a player character. 0.000 2019-03-30 00:...

Re: Have robots send items to nearest storage chest
Okay. I can see the practical applications of the 4 rules. I can see this working out well when storage chests with filters set are connected by inserters to passive provider chests, feeding the logistic network. Or, have a storage chest with a logs in it in front of a boiler or assembler making ele...

Re: Have robots send items to nearest storage chest
Well, I still feel proximity should be a priority, as it's more intuitive to plonk a chest in front of oneself and expect that the bots to fill it up. Also, it's almost impossible for one to remember where they placed storage chests in different parts of a large base after hours of gameplay. Eventua...

Re: Help me understand storage chest priority
Thanks for that. I think, for predictability, I'm just gonna build one storage chest, and pick it up after using it.

Re: Have robots send items to nearest storage chest
So, let's assume I created my first storage chest and my first roboport at the north end of my base. I deconstructed a few things (belts, trees, assemblers, inserters, iron plates, copper plates, and coal) and made the mistake of leaving those items in the storage chest while I build my base further...

Re: Help me understand storage chest priority
1. Storage chests with a matching inventory 2. Storage chests with a matching filter 3. Storage chests with no filter and no inventory 4. Storage chests with no filter and a mismatched inventory Bots really don't like putting mismatched items together, which makes your single storage chest strategy...

Biter beacon
TL;DR Create an item called a biter beacon that must be researched with military science. What ? First, we have biters avoid locations where there are dead biter bodies (seems like a natural behavior of living creatures), attacking from other directions. Then, we have a research item called a biter...

Have robots send items to nearest storage chest
TL;DR Make robots choose the closest storage chest to send items to (deconstructed, trashed, etc.) What ? Right now, the robots' choice of storage chest to send items to seems random. I tested by creating a robotic network with only one roboport, placed 4 storage chests on the logistics network are...

Help me understand storage chest priority
Hello. Can someone explain how the logistic network works? I have bots carrying stuff to a storage chest way way way way far away, when there's one nearby. Why? I can't find the answer in the wiki and when I search storage chest in the forum, I get a lot of results for writing mods instead. What I w...

Allow fulfilling queued ingredients in the crafting queue with ingredients obtained elsewhere.
TL;DR Allow fulfilling queued ingredients in the crafting queue with ingredients obtained elsewhere. What ? When I'm handcrafting, say, 200 inserters, the crafting queue would fill with building 200 gear wheels, 600 copper wire, 200 green circuits, and 200 inserters. Say, I know somewhere that has ...

Personal Ammo Limit
TL;DR Give me a way to set the ammo limit on my guns. What ? I don't want to have 200 ammo in my gun. I just need 20. The rest, I want to have available to redistribute in my turrets. Why ? Right now, I find I'm fumbling too much with refilling my turrets. Let's say, I have 220 ammo. I want to dist...

Re: Using Arrow Keys for Instant Item Direction; In Addition to Rotating with R and Shift-R
What about just adding an option so you always place items in the direction your character is facing? And pressing R would rotate an object to that direction. I could probably get on board with that myself. Because sometimes you want something to face north (e.g. placing 5 north facing assemblers f...
