[0.18.2] Compilatron won't shut up

I'm playing the tutorial. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or was it intended, but Compilatron won't shut up. When you get close to Compilatron, you can hear an excited drone sound (sounds like whee-whee, whee-whee, over and over again). The further you get from Compilatron, the quieter the sound gets, but it never stops. At first it was cute, but after 5 minutes of the whee-whee whee-whee sound, it's starting to get annoying.
