15.0 High-res sprite setting

Not sure if this is a bug or if I am just SOL. The high res sprite option doesn't play well with my system. I am working with 8G RAM and the Intel Integrated HD graphics. Also an Intel i5 processor, if that is relevant. The menu screens all looked as follows: factorioBug.png I fired up a new map and...

Re: Friday Facts #160 - Playtesting

Excellent stuff as always. I like the idea of adding mkII versions of some of the things in the game. I would love to see different tiers of walls. Like maybe wood for the very early game, stone as usual, then some sort of metal for late game. I would also love different varieties of pathing, for ae...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth

I think as is the loader is overpowered. It will make a lot of complex builds obsolete and it will oversimplify things. The biggest appeal of this game for me is the complexity of it. Perhaps just limit it to a "loader" without the ability to unload. Realistically, I can imagine dumping a ...

Hold CTRL to mirror your blueprint.

I really thought this would have been suggested already. I apologize if I missed it.

Yeah as long as there is enough iron and copper, the green circuits reach the end factories without backing up.

Aesthetic Objects (plant trees, pavement, etc.)

I know I am not the only one who values the aesthetics of my factory as well as the functionality. It would be great if we had some options for sprucing up our factory. I think it would give the game a new dynamic that would attract more players and keep people addicted.

Red circuit factory

Here is a little jammer I just came up with. I know I have a couple of extra coil factories but symmetry is more important.

Re: 20 Map Height Claustrophobia

I've done this with a 50 height. Eventually it gets tedious, having to walk for miles to find a small patch of iron.

Re: I am a big fan of this smeltery I just built

I mean it doesn't really matter anyways, it wasn't working as well as it should have. I found out that if I wanna build large robot powered things, I need to do separate logistic networks for everything.

Re: I am a big fan of this smeltery I just built

 That thing is huge. Can you post picture from your production screen? Also looking at your minimap seems like it's producing tons of polution :) maybe consider adding efficiency modules or build more tanks  Here you go: http://i.imgur.com/DbZJZ6I.jpg This doesn't quite do it justic...

Re: I am a big fan of this smeltery I just built

So you essentially maximized the output throughput of the smeltery to be able to use four lanes? Seems nice but I bet you'd need to do the same with input belts to deliver enough ore to the furnaces :) It looks nice, but there isn't enough space for electric furnaces. Try leaving space between your...

I am a big fan of this smeltery I just built

I just whipped this thing up and I really like it. I set it up so I can expand it to the east probably as far as I want. The mini steel and belt factory above it will probably be relocated. (The images got cut off a bit but you get the gist. There is a splitter after every 4 furnaces all the way dow...
