Swapped Power Armor with Power Armor MK2 with the equipment grid open, and the equipment grid did not adjust size accordingly.
No mods enabled that affect equipment grids.

Built a platform using a bp, has uncommon collectors. Use BP to downgrade to normal collectors, did NOT register with automatic builder. Needed to manually change quality from normal to another and back again to get it to register.

Unfortunately, with the same issue. Is there a way to determine where (which planet) this lag is happening, aside from just blindly guessing?
Because this is the first time I have encountered this and it's honestly quite off-putting.

Ok, I refactored significant portions of my base on Nauvis, cutting out effectively ~20k belts. The lag spikes persist.

It's the offshore pumps controlling my nuclear power on Nauvis.
Absolutely wild how it brought the entire game to a halt, and actually caused a crash.
Nvm, lag spikes are persisting.

Set up multiple requesters with manually defined filters. This is one way to get around the "limitation", and not have to intervene at regular intervals.
