Re: PY POWER ANALISIS
I think that's right, I didn't check ingame but immortal's calculator gives 24.822 MW for mk 1 turbine, 60 fluid/s, 1000°C, which would be ((1000-15)/1000)*60*0.42=24.822 MW Also the code for combustion mixture shows " default_temperature = 15 " and " heat_capacity = "1KJ" &...

Re: PY POWER ANALISIS
Dividing max output of a turbine by the temp is close enough ... For a turbine mk01 and 600°C mixture, 24.8*0.6=14.88 MW With the correct method (according to crixomix and blokus), ((600-15)/985)*24.8=14.73 MW Immortal_sniper's calculator gives 14.742 MW Crixomix : combustion turbine mk01 / efficien...

Re: [MOD 0.17+] Industrial Revolution (0.9.x)
Great mod ! I found it thanks to the FFF. I played a few hours yesterday, and so far it's complex without being overwhelming. I didn't play much since 0.17 came out, now I got that factorio itch going again Thanks !

Unfortunately, it's normal with pymods .. Maybe try to disable high res sprites in the settings ?

Re: Ash and Pressured Air supposed to be a huge bottleneck?
I don't know about the tar to rich clay method, I also use the rich clay recipe that uses ash. When I start making science pack 2, I get ash from coke > coal gas, and quickly switch to coal gas > syngas, which provides lots of ash. At this point I start producing power from syngas instead of boilers...

Thanks ! The new aluminium chain looks really nice (duralumin from molten aluminium is also way better now)

Re: Newbie in need
Maybe your tailing pond is connected to coal gas (via a pipe or a coal gas tailing pond) ?

Re: Newbie in need
Store it in a tailing pond until you can crack it into coal gas (the recipe is unlocked with red science, but you actually need green science to make the ingredient, pressurized air). You will also have to make creosote from it. In a tailing pond, liquids (like tar) are stored, but gases (like coal ...

Re: Newbie in need
It's totally normal to struggle in the beginning :D I think the most important thing is : rush tier 2 or tier 3 smelting as soon as possible, at least for copper / iron / steel (also useful for lead since mining lead ore needs acetylene). For copper, tier 2 (red science) is nice. For iron, I prefer ...

With FNEI, at first, I also thought pressured air was unlocked by Filtration AND Semiconductor Doping, but it seems to be unlocked by one or the other (filtration being the easiest one to get).

Coal gas consumption is divided by 2 if you use the powdered quartz recipe

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
There's already a fix for AAI Industry / py compatibility : https://mods.factorio.com/mods/romtos/aai-industry-sp0 It replaces red science by a "science pack 0" made from copper and gears for 4 techs. Basically in order to get electricity, to get py buildings going. Actually I'm not sure i...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
The 2nd aluminium plates recipe is kind of interesting if you don't value your borax, but it's not a no brainer like other level 2 smelting/processing recipes. The 3rd one I don't understand (a bit more ore + lots of other inputs, only some gravel as byproduct output). Recipes from higher grade al p...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I think you need green science to automate basic electronic circuits production with pyro + pyht. Sodium hydroxide becomes an ingredient for fiberboard (needed for pcb1), and the 2 recipes for sodium hydroxide are locked behind green science. Is it intended ? Or am I missing something ?

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I don't get it. We need green circuits for everything (labs, assembling machines ..), and we need nexelit to make these green circuits. How can we get nexelit in the early game ?

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
And quartz to make glass for red science, no ? yes that is used for glass I meant : I think we need quartz in the starting area, to make glass for red science. It seems like nexilit is required for the first level circuits (not playing with PyHighTech). Are you saying that nexilit would not be requ...
