I'm not exactly sure what was different when the game crashed, as I had been entering and exiting factory buildings several times. Upon attempting to exit a factory mk1 building in the factorissimo2 fork the screen when black for a few seconds and then crashed.

I unplugged and replugged my mouse and it fixed the issue.

Also, it didn't try to scroll when I was in the controls menue, but thought I was scrolling when changing the hotkeys.
