Re: Do donation to causes belong here?
If you see humanitarian aid organizations for refugees fleeing war as controversial and political there is something sick in your head.
Also here's a game developer acquaintance of mine posting on exactly this subject:

Re: Do donation to causes belong here?
Yes. I have friends who've (thankfully) made it to Poland as their homes are being destroyed by the invaders. They've lost everything but their lives and it's important to support them and all the other refugees.

Re: [0.17.0] Unwinnable situation in tutorial
That is an obvious "don't do that" situation.
There was also a tentative plan around 0.17.3 or so to guarantee in the level design that harvesting all wood gave the player an odd number of wood bits, so it's not possible to use all your wood on chests that cost two wood without leaving one ...

Re: Cracked Factorio PROBLEMS?!?! FIX THIS!
At best DRM is a nuisance to legitimate purchasers of the game, at worst it can cause serious problems including draining resources away from processes the user actually needs them for, disabling and sometimes even bricking hardware, and installing rootkits/malware. (Sony's DRM was a good example of ...

Re: Cracked Factorio PROBLEMS?!?! FIX THIS!
Headless definitely has “verify user identity” turned on by default. I know because I had to turn it off temporarily to log in as a user who changed their name so I could drop their inventory in a chest for them, since inventories are tracked solely by name, not by any immutable identifier.

They're dealing with crash bugs for an entire platform (MacOS) and you're complaining about their speed in fixing an inconsequential graphical glitch with no gameplay effects. Take a xanax.

Re: [0.17.0] Unwinnable situation in tutorial
Ive found lots of lose conditions however I reported this particular setup because the relatively few trees on the starting map relative to other starting resources (it took me only a few minutes to harvest all of them,) the availability of the shift-click shortcut, and the fact that cancelling ...

[0.17.0] Unwinnable situation in tutorial
Steps to reproduce:
1. Harvest all accessible trees for wood
2. Shift-click wooden chest in character inventory to handcraft all wood into chests
Result: Tutorial is now softlocked at "build electric poles" phase as there is no available wood.
Expected behavior: Trees should respawn during ...

Re: Train-side stop disabling and a toggle for station skipping.
Or you can have one train serve multiple purposes based on which stops it hits instead of stacking single-purpose trains everywhere, that’s the efficiency and compactness I’m talking about.
