No.
I restarted the game, started the newest save (as provided in my upload), did a save of that auto save and then continued playing the game.
In the next 30 minutes or so the game continued to function normally without repeating the problem.

What did you do? I pasted a blueprint. I was in the process of placing items (rail track) over the blueprint What happened? Factorio froze and stopped responding. A Dialog box came up on the screen asking that I send the log file to Factorio via the forum. So that is what I am doing. After I dismiss...

The problem with more focus on war is that there are already a thousand games that focus on that.
I don't even know why I included that given that I mostly play (build) without aliens !

There are no doubt many things that could be added to the one big expansion pack announced by the Factorio Team. I thought that I would jot down a few thoughts that might be OK for the pack. additional raw resources, new manufacturing methods, additional component manufacture, terrestrial robot army...

Update:
Issue can be replicated.
Place a train signal on the track in front of the players current standing position then save the game (or wait for auto save) and game will crash.
New Log file and save game attached

Anyone know what this is ?
Every few minutes I get the console bleep bleep bleep sound and the number 2 appears on the bottom left of the screen like console messages do.
There are no alert icons showing. I dont even have to be getting the player to do anything... just have the game running.

Pleased that the "new placement rules only applies to newly built pumps. Offshore pumps on existing maps will keep functioning, they’ll just be shifted out from the shore" so thanks for that !

Thank you invisus.
I limited the stack size to 1 and it did as you suggested. It stops the inserter being left holding material that wont fit in the wagon.
With that change the inserters load just fine.

Just by way of update, in case its any help, since I added (on April 20th) " --force-opengl " as posila suggested, I have been installing every software update and have had no crashes at all.
