Re: [MOD 1.1] Sea Block Pack 0.5.6
One of the advantages of farming comes from design of Angel's. Setting up the urea chain just for farming is rather inconvenient, but once you're at advanced electronics, you want urea set up anyways for resin, and the urea needed for fertilizer is pretty small in comparison. And quillnoa farming gi...

Re: mineral water from electrolyser electrode
Saying that power is free doesn't really mean much, since all power is "free" in Seablock. If you want to judge power setups at all, the most reasonable methods would be by space footprint or by efficiency (power out vs power in). By both of those metrics, algae farms are one of the weake...

You're better off making your own mod and posting it if you wish. You could also contact kingarthur, who maintains a large compatibility mod for Py mods for advice.

Re: [0.18] Tech tree ordering with Bobs
Upon further looking at options, this tech ordering is from having the Tech Overhaul disabled. In that case, the blocks are just put in their own tech branch, instead of being unlocked with the corresponding technology research and being prerequisite to buildings. Despite the components, the tech tr...

Re: [0.18] Tech tree ordering with Bobs
Post your mod list? Production Block 1 is unlocked with Basic Processing Technology 1 which is a prerequisite for Mechanical Refining, Metallurgy 1, and Steel Processing. The metallurgy tech doesn't require ore sorting true, though I assume that's because its a seperate mod. Both are unlocked on the...

Re: Development and Discussion
I wonder why modules research (lvl 1-8) always require basic circuit boards? I think to make modules progression more meaningful tiers 3-5 and 6-8 should use logic and processor boards. It would also perfectly match with B&A play, where new type of crystals are added - splinters/shards/crystal....

Re: [0.17.58]Placing a train stop with an empty backers.json file crashes the game
I'm torn. On the one hand I want to say that this is self-inflicted, but on the other I can't help but feel that this should be an easy fix (check the length of the backer array before trying to use it, possibly even erroring out at startup). Understandable, and I'm not exactly concerned, consideri...

[0.17.58]Placing a train stop with an empty backers.json file crashes the game
As the title says, removing all names from backers.json, leaving an empty array will cause the game to crash when placing a new train stop. This error does not occur when placing other backer named buildings, such as the science lab. Having any names in the array (including only the blank string &qu...

Re: Iron is too needed and copper is nearly useless
In the early game, Iron is used the most, but when you get to the higher tier technologies, copper becomes much more in demand. A big megabase will probably be using similar amounts of both materials.

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Py, Hey again, I've discovered something that may be of interest to you as I'm rather perplexed by it. After researching Iron 2, you're greeted with the option of either smelting grade one iron or simply smelting processed iron. From my calculations (and practical application), you actually gain mo...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I've most focused on fixing duplicates between pyro and Bob ore/plates. So far the big one is Bob's ores is mostly replaced by pyro. There are a few ores it doesnt have. And Bob's plates has a number of redundant recipes for smelting that are far easier than pyro. I haven't yet look into only havin...

Currently at 35 ups@2GW The only ups saving step that really matters at your point is using less machines. The...

Military only really affects against biters, which have limited relevance in this mod.
It's better to think of it as a military "themed" science, like how red is alien life based. Blue is electronics based, etc.

Re: Development and Discussion
I will probably re-invent the ingredient limit but more for the purpose of assembling machine of different size and speed, so you can produce stuff but you have to choose specific machines to do so. But it will be a buttload of work because I have to manually adjust crafting categories for all reci...

Does that mean the highest ratio for ore to plate will be 1:20? Will that also be true for the other ores like iron?

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.16
For mineral water vs slag to sludge: I did a simple test setup with minimal machines to test the raw energy to ore ratio. Each setup was connected to their own 270 MJ accumulator array. I gave the sludge setup a few sulfur to start. Ran both until they stopped. All first tier buildings. The mineral ...

Cliff mining with spidertrons. What a time to be alive.
edit: Also, what's the expected yield of these mines. Is it going to be in the 100M+ range or higher?

Quite exciting to see we're on the final four.
What additional work has to be done after all the ore chains are complete?
