Everything he describes was happening to me also. I just removed 0.16 campaign saves and no more error.

Still happening on 0.17.7 but I've verified that deleting my old campaign saves (the "A New Hope" ones) means that this message no longer pops up. The bug therefore is better summarised as: "Error appears on the save game screen whenever old 0.16 campaign save games are present"...

Dear Lord, I figured it out! It was Acronis Active Protection service. (anti ransomware.exe in task manager) I saw that in task manager and was like, what is this, why is this here..then I realized I have Acronis True Image which is doing my weekly backup and I forgot to turn off Active protection. ...

I just mentioned it because I found today that the latest version of MalwareBytes was causing issues for me when I would try to move files around saying they where open in another program. Can you try disabling NOD32 and see if it still happens? Yeah, I'll let you know in about 6-7h when I get back...

is it possible in some way to edit resource settings (richer patches etc) in ongoing map without disabling possibility to earn achivements?

Maybe by modifying some config file? Anyone tried that?
