Automated Construction/Blueprints are a quite deep into the robotics tree. I agree on their usefulness during mid to late planning, but this is not available as soon as you enter a new world.

Re: Inserter stack bonus screw up.
it's just a hunch but it maybe this way because of the positoning of the assemblers and inserters to eachother
I observed that insterters that are placed in the middle of an assembler are slightly faster because the distance is slightly shorter
I use a similar design that is just slightly different ...

Re: Hi, and welcome to belt hell
I ran into similar problems first few times I played sandbox mode
I overcame the problem with an ancient technology, pen and paper to draw layouts and think ahead
if you are not quiet sure about decent spacing use a simple rule, use 10% more tiles than you think you might need

Balancing of Capacities of Containers
The topic speaks for itself, so no abstract needed.
There has been a similar thread before but that one was not well formulated.
I would like to present you some numbers and then speak of my suggestion because I think it makes more sense this way
advanced chest requires 1 tile, provides 48 slots ...

a game that doesn't require learning the rules and using a pen and some paper isn't worth playing, it's trivial and by that simply not entertaining

It is a way of saving up resources that you otherwise would need to invest in accumulators.
As those have an max output of 300 kW, which means that you might need a lot more accumulators to run lasser turrets then you'd need for only running the factory on solar.
